The saalfstudents website is a site that contains translations of yellow books, also known as classical books or Turos books. Yellow books refer to Islamic study books written in classical Arabic and cover various fields of Islamic studies such as exegesis (tafsir), the science of exegesis, hadith, the science of hadith, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) or Sharia, the principles of jurisprudence (ushul fiqh), history (tarikh), the science of computation and astronomy (ilmu hisab dan ilmu falak), recitation (tajwid), politics (siyasah), creed (aqidah) or monotheism or theological science (ilmu kalam), and others. The site is managed by alumni from various Islamic boarding schools.
